Pinetops History

Pinetops is a quaint town in southern Edgecombe County.  Founded in 1901, the Town was incorporated in May 1903 as a rail station.  We grew with businesses as merchants choose to locate near the railroad line that took people and goods between Tarboro and Farmville.

Henry Bridgers purchased a one (1) square plot that would define the Town limits.  Since that time, the people of Pinetops have been an intersection of commerce in Edgecombe County.
